Guidelines and Instructions

The Algoma Visionary Awards (AVAs) honour the outstanding contributions and achievements of young leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, volunteers, and mentors throughout the Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma region. Award categories include 1) Awards of Distinction, recognizing overall excellence and outstanding contributions, and 2) Industry Awards, highlighting achievements within specific sectors.

  • All nominees must have been active in their field during the calendar year for the awards period.
  • All nominees must have been active in their field in our local region.
  • Nominees must be between the ages of 19 - 40
  • You DO NOT need to be a member of the Strive Young Professionals Group or the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce to be eligible for an award nomination.
